Annual General Meeting 2023

For our guest speakers this year, we are expecting a “Fire Smart” presentation by Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry staff, pending operational requirements. This subject is of great importance to all of us, no doubt. We will also provide a complimentary inspection of your fire extinguisher and smoke and carbon monoxide detectors following the meeting, so bring them along!
What to bring: a chair, something to drink, your fire extinguisher, smoke detector, carbon monoxide detector, ideas, ideas, ideas! And bring a neighbour! (They don’t need to be a member to attend and learn more about us.)

Bring a chair and a sunhat! Washroom facilities are NOT available. Only paid-up members are eligible to vote.

Parking: Due to limited dock space, you are encouraged to use a boat that can be pulled up on shore. Parking will be available on the north shore on the Lyte beach, opposite Michaud’s camp, until 1PM. Ferry service across the river will be provided.

1. Circulation and approval of the minutes of the previous meeting.
2. Questions and business arising out of the minutes.
3. Report of the President, followed by reports of the other officers and directors, including the financial report and reports on committee activities during the preceding year.
4. Business arising out of the reports.
5. Motion to be seconded, to adopt the reports and vote.
6. Vote for confirmation of new, changed or amended regulations, if any, as well as of existing Regulations.
7. Report of the Committee for Nomination, if applicable.
8. Other nominations from the floor. Note: Providing that acceptance of a nomination is confirmed by the nominee present in person, or prior written acceptance has been obtained.
9. Election of new board of directors.
10. Election of officers.
11. New business.
12. Asking for volunteers to serve on committees.
13. Adjournment.
