The 2018 Key River wildfire burned over 11,000 hectares of the northern region of the Georgian Bay Biosphere including the French River Provincial Park. In this webinar, Professor Mike Waddington will share research by members of the McMaster Ecohydrology Lab on the impacts of the fire on the rock barrens ecosystems and habitat as well as an overview of the recovery of the landscape in the first three years following the fire.
An overview of their research can be viewed here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ve-gbni1ghE
